A product leader who sets strategy and ships production code, with a bias toward AI that earns its place.
Fifteen-plus years across healthcare, fintech, and SaaS. I currently run Product Leader Academy, a 1,000+ member community and jobs platform I built myself. I sit in the codebase as well as the strategy: an in-house Voice AI receptionist and focused agents on a unified analytics platform.
I care about the parts of the job AI can't do: choosing the problem worth solving, and owning the call.
Led product at Optum, Truckstop, PwC, ADP, Mastercard, and Open English, from $3.2B benefits platforms through 13M-member healthcare apps.
Built an in-house Voice AI receptionist and production agents, plus GenAI workflows and AI load-matching. Real systems in users' hands.

Kate: Voice AI that books real appointments
Symplast
As Head of Product I built Kate, an in-house Voice AI receptionist for 3,500+ plastic-surgery and medspa practices, plus two production agents on a unified Postgres analytics platform. Combined new ARR from AI and CRM growth was roughly $4.2M.
Challenge
Practices were drowning in unanswered calls after hours. A vendor wrapper would have booked some of them and billed per minute, with no way to see why a call went wrong or to push latency below what the vendor allowed.
Solution
Brought the model in-house. Split the work into small agents (scheduling, intake, a router) grounded on a single Postgres layer of calendar, provider, and patient truth. Kate handed off the clinical, angry, or judgment-call conversations to a human on purpose.
Results
- Kate added $1.2M in ARR as an in-house receptionist
- CRM growth on the same analytics foundation added another $3M ARR
- Combined new ARR from the AI and CRM push: roughly $4.2M
- React Native migration closed iOS/Android parity gaps and raised mobile engineering capacity 50%

A production AI concierge across voice, SMS, and web
Stay in Lakeland
I founded Stay in Lakeland, a local guide for short-term-rental guests, and built its core: an AI concierge that answers guests on the phone, over text, and on the web from one brain, grounded in live local data.
Challenge
Short-term-rental guests ask the same questions at every hour: the WiFi password, the gate code, where to eat that is still open, how to book another night. A host cannot answer them all, and a generic chatbot that invents an answer is worse than silence when a guest is standing at a locked door.
Solution
Built one AI concierge that answers across voice, SMS, and web from a single brain. It uses tool calls to pull live data (restaurant hours from Google Places, local events, weather) and only reveals a property's private details when that booking is active. It runs on Vercel AI Gateway with a fast primary model and an automatic fallback, with guardrails so it never invents a venue, never claims a booking is confirmed, and hands off to a human when it should.

- One AI concierge serving voice, SMS, and web from a single brain
- Live tool calls (Google Places, events, weather) instead of guessed answers
- Private property info gated to active bookings only, a real security boundary
- Advertiser-funded model: local businesses pay to be recommended, not a cut of bookings

Freight Marketplace Platform
Truckstop
Developed a mobile marketplace platform connecting freight carriers with shippers, implementing sophisticated matching algorithms and location-based search functionality.
Challenge
The freight industry relied heavily on manual processes and phone calls to match carriers with available loads, creating inefficiencies and missed opportunities for both parties.
Solution
Created a mobile-first marketplace platform with real-time load matching, location-based search, and pricing transparency. Implemented features for saved locations, recent searches, and direct communication between carriers and shippers.
Results
- 35% improvement in AI load-match accuracy
- 22% increase in user engagement; 15% reduction in carrier churn
- 18% decrease in empty miles across active carriers
- $3.5M first-year revenue from the Spanish-speaking market

Built Kate, an in-house Voice AI receptionist that added $1.2M in ARR, plus two production agents on a unified Postgres analytics platform. Migrated the native iOS and Android apps to a single React Native platform, closing feature-parity gaps and raising engineering capacity 50%. Drove a growth push that doubled the CRM client base and added another $3M in ARR, bringing new ARR to roughly $4.2M. Owned the patient journey end to end and drove single sign-on, an open API and partner marketplace, payments and CareCredit, and accessibility, reporting tradeoffs to the board in P&L terms.

Automated retention and payments with Salesforce and REST APIs, adding $500K in ARR and opening a $2.5M opportunity.
