Free product friction check
Find where product work gets stuck.
Choose the situation closest to yours. Use the questions to find one assumption worth testing, then try the small check with your team.

We ship, but the business result is unclear
- Which customer and business outcome does the current roadmap serve?
- What did the team decline so it could focus?
- Which result changed after the last release?
A small test
Pick one recent release. Trace it from the customer problem to the intended outcome and the evidence collected afterward. Find the first assumption you cannot support.
Customers still work around the product
- When did a customer last choose a spreadsheet, manual step, or another tool?
- What happened immediately before and after that choice?
- Does the workaround reflect missing capability, setup, or trust?
A small test
Observe one real task with a consenting customer. Record the handoffs and rework. Ask about the last occurrence rather than whether they would like a proposed feature.
The AI demo works; the completed task is uncertain
- What proves that the requested action actually completed?
- What happens when a tool times out or the user changes the request?
- Can a person correct the work before it has consequences?
A small test
Use synthetic inputs to test a successful action, a timeout, and a repeated request. Compare what the interface says with the actual task state. Keep real customer data out of the test.
Work stalls between teams or automation
- Who owns the outcome after a handoff?
- What context reaches that person?
- What can the system do when the next step cannot finish?
A small test
Map one unresolved request from intake to completion. Name the owner, required context, and fallback at each boundary. Check the map against one recent example.

Bring one workflow or decision to a 20-minute fit conversation. We can discuss whether a paid Product Diagnostic would help: an agreed scope, evidence review, priorities, and a practical plan.
Discuss your product problemIf the next step needs delivery, we can scope implementation with your team. If it needs ongoing ownership, we can discuss fractional product leadership or a permanent executive mandate. Each step stands on its own.
